ABOUT

Dr Jamie Parker (Osteopath)

Dr Jamie
Parker (Osteopath)

I have invested over five years in comprehensive training to earn both a Bachelor of Health Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy). Furthermore, I pursued a Diploma in Strategic Psychotherapy and Clinical Hypnosis to complement my osteopathic skills, enabling me to understand and address the psychological aspects of pain and help my clients heal on a deeper level.

In addition to my osteopathic expertise, I bring 13 years of experience as a working violinist, providing lessons to both adults and children. My extensive training in biomechanics has allowed me to develop a special interest in supporting artists and workers in optimizing the use of their equipment and enhancing their performance.

  • Bachelor of Health Science - RMIT University

Throughout my studies, I learnt about, cellular biology, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology and genetics.

I honed my skills in biomechanics and science-based treatment techniques including muscle relaxation, joint mobilisation, active stretching, joint manipulation and gentile therapeutic touch work.

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) - RMIT University

I've learnt the art of reprogramming our minds to let go of old, unhelpful thoughts and habits, and replace them with positive, change-focused suggestions. Pain is controlled in the mind, and no approach is complete without a complete look at how our psychology impacts our health and wellness.

  • Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy
